THE OFF DUTY METHOD

No gimmicks. No cookie-cutter program.

Every dog is different, so training should be too. We focus on clarity, consistency, timing, relationship, and practical skills that make life easier for both ends of the leash.

The goal isn’t just a dog that “knows commands.” The goal is a dog that can make better choices when life gets busy, loud, exciting, or unpredictable.

MEET YOUR TRAINER

Hi, I’m Bilal.

Bilal, trainer at Off Duty Dogs, with a dog

Hi, I’m Bilal — a veterinary technician and lifelong dog lover with years of hands-on experience caring for and training dogs of all ages, personalities, and needs. Working in veterinary medicine while training dogs has given me a unique understanding of canine behavior, body language, handling, and the importance of treating every dog as an individual.

My approach is practical, patient, and built around clear communication, consistency, timing, and trust. I focus on real-world training that helps dogs become calmer, more reliable companions while giving owners the confidence and tools to keep making progress at home.

I recently moved from North Carolina to Los Angeles, and I’m excited to bring my experience to LA dog owners. Whether you’re raising a puppy, working through frustrating habits, or simply want a better everyday relationship with your dog, I’m here to help make life together clearer, easier, and more enjoyable.
